Hi, Ken.
Just yesterday I finished my new "dream" bench. It's
been in the planning over a year.
Basically, it's U-shaped. Two legs are 8' long by 3' deep.
Middle leg is 4' long x 2' deep.
Middle leg has drawers under it and will be used mainly as a
"buffer" for temporary storage.
The two main legs are two separate work areas. Each has
two sets of shelves running the entire length. The shelves
are 12" deep and have 13" of vertical clearance. With 2
exceptions, all the test gear I have will fit on these
shelves (exceptions are URM-32 and BC-221 freq. Meters).
Scopes are on the work surface and extend off the back of
the bench a bit.
Each bench has two 6'-long Wiremold(r) outlet strips mounted
on back and a 3' strip on the front side for soldering irons,
item being worked on, etc.
If you'd like, I can e-mail you offline and attach some pictures.
