Very interesting. I didn't even think of trying mine without cleaning, but
perhaps "next time" I will.
I imagine that the layer of silver oxide must be very thin, and breaks down
easily under the stress of the applied voltage.
What sort of condition are your contact wheels in? Is there any significant
deviation from roundness in the roller inductor or the wheel?
One more question: what sort of readings do you see on the RF Current meter?
I was able to load up into a 50 ohm load using the 'Current' setting of the
switch, but not the 'Voltage' setting. That seems right, but thought I'd ask
anyway.
Thanks for the info. I hope to have some more time to work on the GO-9 over
the weekend.
