What you people do not understand is that the SMALL PACKAGE CARRIERS,
including USPS is that they have no SPECIAL HANDLING PROVISIONS IN THEIR
"UNION CONTRACTS". In a USPS mail center anything that can be thrown in
the sorting process is THROWN. Labels are a spot to aim at with your
foot. IF IT CAN MOVE IT WILL GET DAMAGED 9 OUT OF 10 TIMES.
I use QUAD WALL and 500 pound Double wall boxes with at least 2" of foam
in the custom box. Some of these boxes have made up to 10 trips, yes
they show signs of use but I have 2 left out of a hundred and NO DAMAGE
REPORTS as of yet. Yes they are pricey but what does your radio cost you
and when it arrives damaged do to the "NOT SUFFICIENT PACKAGING" report
on your claim.
FYI "THE SHIPPER OF RECORD IS THE ONLY PERSON THAT CAN FILE A DAMAGE
CLAIM" This is regardless of what the scam artist say on the "E" sight
or otherwise.
The consignee is responsible to keep "ALL" of the packing materials for
inspection by the respective Companies representative PERIOD. If not
then your chances of resolving a claim are nil to none.
