I'd like to add an observation or two. One is the fact that being
able to look at the input and the output of a circuit at the same time
is very helpful and speeds troubleshooting. A dual trace scope makes that
a snap. The other thing and that a good dual trace scope will do
is allow you to use the X-Y input, when aligning IF's and you now have a
spectrum analyzer that allows you to do a sweep alignment of the IF'
s and look at the actual curve of the IF. In fact i've gotten so dependant
on my Tek 2213A and 465B scopes (using both at the same time),
that I bought a 2465B so I can put all four traces on one screen. What
really is neede here is a good book on the use of a scope in trouble shooting
and repair. The value of the dual trace 100MHz O'Scope becomes very
obvious. Just my two cents.
