[Boatanchors] Hammarlund Super Pro SP 400 question & SX73

Got another radio question.
I have a what appears to be a Hammarlund SP 400 military version. Goes =
to 40 mhz.
If you look at the picture supplied, there is a 3 position crystal box =
bolted to the top of the tuning cap can. This box has three large =
crystal holders and one tube, two controls that do not protrude thru the =
front panel. This sub-assembly does not appear on any of the web based =
SP400 or BC 779ish schematics. I also found a crystal holder marked Y2 =
next to the bfo can at rear right of radio. Your'e input is most =
appreciated

On a side note I am still working on my SX 73. Still looking for =
ballast resistor R80 for it. Receives extremely well and has enough =
super clean audio to literally blow you out of the room. I think I love =
the damn thing. Have a look!
