Yes,
There were two "Ranger's" or Ranger I's if you want to call it that.. The
first one did not have the two tube sub assembly mounted behind the front
panel. Johnson later issued a kit to add this mod which they called a
"keyer" modification. Later production units all had this additional two
tube assembly.
