[Boatanchors] Antenna tower problems

Birds landing on antenna elements is a common problem with FAA antennas.
Some of the solution attemps were: Installing "tie wraps" leaving the long
tail sticking up.....this goosed the bird when landing and discouraged them.
Sometimes short sections of PVC pipe were put on the elements, these were
loose and tended to rotate when birds attempted to land on the elements.

We did have an instance of vultures roosting on a passive microwave
repeater......couldn't solve that problem, they didn't really cause a real
problem, just made a real mess when the semi annual reflector alignment was
done.
