[Boatanchors] BC1004 Slipping Dial

Hammy Slippage" on the bandspread dial, requiring much 
spinning of the bandspread tuning to "eventually" tune across the spread 
of the dial.

Is it possible that the edge of the plastic dial is worn down from people 
spinning the knob in order to tune the bandspread? The dial on my BC794-B has a 
chunk missing from the edge, and so it stops when it gets to that spot. I think 
it was caused by spinning the dial until it wore that spot out. The army tech 
manual mentions tightening the nut on the end of the shaft, but you've 
probably already tried that.

I have tried (unseccessfully) to find a replacement dial.
