Because so many AOL subscribers do not know how, nor can they seem to find out
from AOL tech support, how to post in plain text without multi-part alternative,
here is how it can be done. Thanks to Andy:
To write emails in plain text, AOL users can do the following:
1) Type www.aol.com in their browser and hit the 'go' tab.
This will take them to 'AOL Anyhwere'.
2) At the 'AOL Anywhere' website, they should then hit the 'mail' tab. This will
take them to the webpage where they can sign in with their screen name and
password.
3) They then hit the 'Enter AOL mail' tab, and a message should appear advising
them that they are entering a secure area where others cannot view their
activity. They should hit the 'yes' tab (they may have to do this several
times), and they will then go to their email page, where they can view their
email, etc.
4) There will be a 'write mail' option on this page, and any mail they write
will be in plain text.
Hope this helps.
Regards, Andy
