I expect serious collectors might have an interest in them, but from my
perspective, I have too much "stuff" cluttering up my shack as it is and
I'm not enough of a collector to go after anything but good usable
hardware. As you suggest, an old logbook might make a good picture or
decoration, but for most of us it would probably end up in a file
cabinet and not displayed anyway, due to lack of space. If I had one,
I'd probably keep it, but I wouldn't bother buying one just for the sake
of having it. Same with sales brochures, at one time I collected a few,
then realized they were doing me no good in the file cabinet so I sold
them. In fact I probably still have a few original Hallicrafters
brochures from the '60s around but they sure aren't doing me any good.
It would be the same with a logbook, interesting to see for a short
while, then into storage never to be used again.
