I live on the water in Hull and also have a home near the ocean in Maine.

In Hull I am about 50-60' above the water. In fact, I am high enough to be
in the "white" area of a flood plain map. This means that I am high enough
that I am not required to maintain flood insurance. In Maine, our home is back
and far enough above the water that I do not foresee a problem.

I have long held to the belief that if I have water approaching my foundation
we have much bigger problems to deal with. Even with the horrific scenes
coming from the Indian Ocean basin I still feel the same way.

My plan is to secure the homestead and family and then report to the local
EOC (which will probably have to be relocated to higher ground...) and start
serving.
