[ARRL-OK] Tsunami Relief Fund

This isn't ham radio, but it's a very good question.
The web site lists legitimate organizations. Each has different overhead
charges, of course. I know for certain that, with the Salvation Army, if
you designate your donation for a particular effort, 100% of the donation
goes to *that* effort. This is not the case for donations to their general
fund, from which they extract overhead operating expenses (they have to get
them from someplace).
To make absolutely certain that as many pennies as possible go where you
want them, donate to the charity *directly* with check or cash. Go to their
web site, get a phone number, call, and find out how to donate to them
specifically for tsunami relief. If you use a credit card, the credit card
company charges a fee for their service. This is as it should be (they must
charge for the service they provide) but some might take umbrage at such
fees against donations for charity.

"All of weather is divided into three parts: Yes, No, and Maybe. The
greatest of these is Maybe" The original Latin appears to be garbled.
