A special balloon launch event is set for this Saturday-November 15!

Two balloons are set to set launched at 8:00 am CST from Norman and Tulsa.=20=
=A0=20
The Tulsa balloon is KC5TRB-4 and the Norman balloon is AD5GT-11.=A0 The=20
balloons are being operated by Harry-Oklahoma Research Balloons and John-Dep=
loyed=20
Amateur Radio Technology, respectively. =A0 Expectations are that balloons w=

s. The=20
Tulsa balloon is expected to land, based on current information in an area=20
from Salina, OK to Springfield, AR. The Norman balloon is on a path to land=20=
in an=20
area from Cromwell, OK to Henryetta, OK

Each balloon will be equipped with APRS for tracking. =A0 The goal is for th=
e=20
balloons to complete an Earth-Balloon-Balloon-Earth communication contact vi=
a=20
Amateur Radio. Both launch sites are very near National Weather Service=20
sites...seems natural doesn't it!=A0 The Tulsa site is near the intersection=
 of 11th=20
Street and Hwy 169. =A0 It is two blocks west of the Tulsa NWS office. The N=
orman=20
