The MF Command Sets transmitters had to be used with trailing antenna, right, and the transmitter
input is around 40 watt, right? Seems to me that's not an insanely lower power than many 100 watt
aircraft transmitters with MF facility. Maybe more numbers of transmitters in the civilian world in
this power range. So it wasn't a hugely successful idea? Well, there weren't many made, and they
didn't keep them rolling off the factory conveyer belt.
But you really must dismiss that idea that Costa Rica et all were still using 1929 MF - only equipment.
I wish I had more examples to end that argument, but at the moment I can only think of Lae, New
Guinea. 1937, had only transmit facility on 3105, 6210. I think we can establish this. Granted, it was
a colonial possession, but it was also a backwater place of low commercial importance.
