I did say big ships like the B-29 could and did
do the "homing" mission.
And I stand by the FACT that the ARC-5 MF
set would have been hopelessly ineffective
in such a role, and the engineers of the time
would certainly have known that.  The DF
role makes Zero sense for the ARC-5
Tactical Communications Command Set,
so we need a better idea.
