[ARC5] BC-611 Production numbers

I was telling my son Bill (N2RKL) about the production numbers yesterday
and he immediately began to Google. He came up with:

3 platoons per WW II infantry company, with one SCR-536 per platoon plus
one for the company commander.

3 companies per regiment

3 regiments per brigade

3 brigades per division

90 infantry divisions

So, about 10,000 SCR-536 were issued at any time.

My wild guess is that the 206,000 figure was based on the possibility of
all out war in 1944, 45 and 46, if we had to invade Japan. Then roughly
dividing thee production by 3 gives 60,000 per year and that implies to me
that the expected life of the radios in war service was about two months.
And considering how they are constructed and the 7 day 24 hour in any
possible weather use, two months sounds pretty generous to me.

What do you think?
