"Interesting" is a mild word, Al. I found that report to be VERY interesting, well written, and
surprisingly detailed.

...which Captain Thompson, the writer of that Iwo Jima repoart, thought were useless due to
the unreliability of the half-tracks. He recommended that the SCR-299 be installed in a panel
truck instead.

There is (or was) a video on youtube showing how Hallicrafters built the SCR-299 into a
panel truck. Talk about a tight squeeze!

In fact, he thought they were also useless and mentioned that they have never been
effectively used. He liked the MZ very much (TCS radio jeeps)

He also thought the SCR-300 was far more effective than the TBX and suggested ALL TBXs
be removed and replaced by SCR-300s.

He also though the SCR-294 was very valuable and suggested their use.
