[ARC5] BC-453 On The Air

This weekend was the ndblist's listening event -- the theme was using a old
radio preferably with barn door selectivity,  which is why I decided to
light up my BC-453.

I figured I'd hear 6 or 10 NDBs,  and was delighted to put 69 in the log
over the weekend!

Just my 453 hooked up to my 160M INV-L;  no matching etc.   I had a GREAT
time.   The 453, stock and pretty much not recapped (yet),  is no slouch
for an LF receiver.

The dynamotor noise that plagues my BC-454 and BC-455, with the same
dynamotor was not present on the 453  which tells me I have a ground issue.

A boy and his radio had a great time over this weekend!
