Couple of important things I forgot ( I do a lot of that ).
There are *three* screw holes 11mm (center hole) from the
small end of the device- How could I miss that third hole??
The holes are 90 degrees apart.
The one original screw I have is 9.5mm total length,
slotted, round head and the thread is 6-32.
Can't directly measure the bore size, because
there is an eyelet made at the end of the wire to
connect the "wind sock" drag thing. I'd have to destroy it
to get the wire out. Closest I can estimate is 2mm plus a little.
Looking inside the screw holes, the color of the threads is
the same as the outside finish, and the few worn and scratched
areas are uniform colour, so it's probably not plated brass.
On the back side of the large disk and along the shaft,
one can see very fine lathe cutting marks.
If it is plated, the finish is like Nickel.
I'm not the expert- I'd bow to Mike on that- but it looks
like Stainless Steel. That would make sense, given the
moisture and crud to which the device would be subject
when the antenna was reeled-in on grey days.
