Many of the micas I have here don't do that, much to my initial disappointment. So I had to open a lot of samples to be sure.

The paper ones are higher value such as .01, .02, .05, or .1 uf , etcThey are used in bypass and coupling functions.Micas are generally in the picofarad range or maybe as high as .001 uf , used in the RF/ IF areas . They are physically much smaller that than the paper types. You can also read the dots to quick check the multiplier. ______________________________________________________________
