[ARC5] ARC 5 reciever backlash.

Nearly foolproof method:  Use hot air gun at 150 deg F on backlash plates, remove heat and spray WD40 on the plate faying surfaces.  I’ve saved lots of expensive race car parts using this method.  May have to repeat several times.  NO OPEN FLAMES…..

You might not need to remove the tuning capacitor  I was able to clean old dry lube out of split anti back lash gears with repeated application of solvent

 

I used alternating acetone and penetrating oil with final clean with denatured achohol
