Dave,
FWIW, I concur. Trying to solder-suck or flux-and-braid an old
connection is simply a fools errand in all too many cases. Yep, no hi-G
maneuvers or severe vibration scenarios for this gear we have, anymore
(I hope), save those who mount gear in MIL vehicles, and such. All that
heat and mechanical strain can, and will, take its toll!
