[ARC5] Some info on the S-38 and a bit of OT

When I read your post, I said to myself "What?" or "Watt?" or "whatever"!
Actually, today as I approached the afternoon traffic in Scotts Valley CA, I saw a vanity license plate "WUTEVAR". I really wonder about our US of A society 
 that members of it have such extra time and concerns to be able to name their automobiles such stupid names. Although I do (sort of) admire the Silver Ghost Rolls I once saw with the plate "RCHPHKR". That guy had balls!

Correction:  I wrote that 60dB "down" amounts to one-millionth of the
signal (or something like that).

I should have written 60dB "down" amounts to an attenuation of the
signal by one-million.  The signal is attenuated 10x log(one-million).  
Anyway, I figure that every-one on this list knows that, and made the
