Actually, it is 10 times the log of base 10 for power and 20 times the log of base 10 for voltage.
I know what you meant!  However, for someone who is not familiar with dB, Log 20 indicates a base 20 and not 20 times the Log base 10. Glen, K9STH

LOG 10 is POWER.

LOG 20 is voltage.

If you are measuring voltage -60db is 1/1000th. I.e., 1V down 60db is 1mV.
