But "elbow-grease" can often and easily be very very bad advice...too much can permanently destroy important painted stamps, decals, and other historically important markings...including OEM panel labels.  Too much can actually damage the paint itself.

The BREAK FREE-CLP process I've used for three decades does not threaten those important panel and chassis markings.  The MSDS for CLP shows it to be very safe for exposure, including ingestion.
