Clare,

I have several of the command receivers here. I'm far the expert on 
these but I have made some repairs on the ones that I have and I never 
have found it necessary to remove the tags for access to repair. I was 
suspicious about that same thing when the mismatched screws gopped onto 
it were mentioned. I didn't comment before - see my expert status above.
