Probably. I sure as heck wouldn't do that.

BTW, I like your and Mike's method of removing the tops then soldering them 
back on.

In my attempts at doing this (restuffing), I cut around the mica, then glued it 
back in. It looks very good, but your method looks a lot easier.

As you know, I published a link to a short description, with photos, of my 
re-stuffing job on my website here some time ago.
