[ARC5] A New eBay Screing

The procedures changed a couple months (or so) ago.

Any time you win an auction, buy it now or any other action that commits you to pay for an item AUTOMATICALLY PUTS THE ITEM IN THE CART. I’ll bet you went directly to PayPal or other 3rd party or cash because it’s obvious you’ve never used the cart, period. If you don’t pay through the cart eBay has no way of knowing it’s paid. Of course it’s still there!!! Go to the cart and find that “Remove from cart” button, or if you can’t find it (the option may have been removed when you won the item) you WILL HAVE TO CONTACT eBay help.

In my (not even close to humble) opinion, the eBay checkout procedure is the best of any I use on the net. It’s slicker’n goose grease. Checkout is now smooth and fast.

Steve, I disagree that the button to “Request total from seller” is hard to find. I found it on the first try. Also keep in mind that some sellers have set things up with their policy on combined shipping already set up. It sure is slick when you buy 10 items from the same seller and the combined cost is just waiting for you in checkout. That’s my opinion, YMMV.

Well, only if you don't use the cart. But I think you hit the nail right on the head. Ebay DOES get a final value fee on shipping cost!!! I really think that's why they never really cared whether people knew how to request an invoice, and actually made it more difficult to find the request button.
