I think we might've discussed this on the Hammarlund list a year or two
back, Ken. I've been using them for some time with good success. You can
get adapters from the connector sellers at hamfest that will fit either a
PL-259 or BNC as I recall.
They're great for the pre-war receivers like the Super Pros (120-200 ohms
impedance IIRC) and others set up with screw terminals for the typical
twisted pair or twin lead.
Some work better than others, but which area of my brain that info got lost
in is a mystery. Best thing is to take a handful and try them out, see
which ones work best. Some actually have specs printed on the case or
jacket.
