Hi Dave –
After playing around with various approaches, I finally used the divider as
per the SCR-274N manual (which you have advised to use many times over the
years).
3 Resistors, a variac, and just about any transformer (use a choke or cap
filter as you please) and you have your power supply!
Put a VTVM on the plates and adjust the variac for 550VDC.
Simple, and it works FB OM.
