Photographic documentation shows that, regardless of
what "the book" says, whatever was on hand was used and is,
therefore, "correct." It's hard enough to gather any connectors at all.
As for personal preference: I like the way the "loom-type" look,
even though they are a much bigger pain to cable-up.
IMHO:
Use whatever mix you have, as long as you get the sets cooking.
Ask anyone who makes a snooty comment:
"OK, what have *you* done lately?" ;-)
