[ARC5] BC-696-A Inductor Scale_capacitor rebuild

I just used a dremel tool cut off wheel to open one of the bathtub style
capacitors in order to rebuild it. I always though those were aluminum but I
recall reading somewhere that they are actually brass? It looks like I can
solder the top part I cut off back on.

Yes, it's an arbitrary scale for logging purposes. ARC-5 and SCR/ATA are
different from each other but probably the same for each tx in their
respective series. So find a "parter" with a good window scale. You'll get
your bearings too most likely or a replacement part all together. But the
knowledge that you can rebuild one of these capacitors is good stuff to have
"under your belt".

Does anyone know if there is a scale in the roller inductor window of the
BC-696-A? I just replaced the window and it seems like there should be
something in there to indentify the position of the roller inductor.
