So the signal generator is connected to the top cap (grid) of the 12K8. Fair
enough, but the
12K8 local oscillator is running continuously and will be beating against
your sig gen,
resulting in swept in-band and out-of-band signals.
The in-band signal will be heterodyned back to 1415 kHz, displaying as a
phase-shifted
artifact seen in some of your photos. You really need to disable the 12K8
oscillator.
