[ARC5] Expert restoration advise to repair shipping damage to VRC type gear

fracture, w/o much distortion of the parts.

You can check this by dry-fitting the parts back together. If they do fit
w/o any/much distortion, it is a candidate for glueing.

If not, you are faced with grinding the mating ends and using a void
filling adhesice.

Assuming you do have a well-mating brittle fracture, here's my suggestion.

Use a good quality, clear (no fillers) two-part epoxy with low viscosity.
Preferably not '5 Minute Set'.

Clean the break area thoroughly with Acetone and let dry.

Apply the epoxy to one or both mating surfaces, mate and separate to be
sure the epoxy wets the whole joint area.

Remate the surfaces and clamp firmly and leave for at least 24 hours to
fully set.
