[ARC5] Expert restoration advise to repair shipping damage to VRC type gear

 I have just received a shipping damaged RT-70 from an epoo purchase. The outer "trim" (I don't know what else to call it) is broken and I have 3 pieces I need to "glue" back into place. This is cast aluminum and grainy and I am wondering what would make a fairly permanent repair.
 My first guess is J B Weld. Anyone ever use this stuff or is there something better? Last thought is to rob a front panel from another unit that has other problems. But I'm still left with a junker of sorts
