Yes. He was right too. His little superhets were very effective receivers. The
regeneration took place at the IF. Very simple and worked much better than
the simple single-tube regens that most others were offering to beginners.
He was quite the fellow. I admire him because although he was an EE, he
operated on my favorite principle: KISS.
