[ARC5] Those Yellow "Serviceable Part" Tags.

I can't begin to relate to tags from WWII but in the late 50's thru the
70's, AFTO 66-1 specifies the use of airworthiness or serviceability
tags. As others point out, yellow denotes serviceable, green denotes
repairable, and red denotes unserviceable. Items in transit retained
one copy of the AFTO Form 210. Then, you have the codes placed on the
tags. Things such as NRTS (Not Repairable this Station) would be found
on units to be sent to a AMC depot. I do not, however, ever recall the
aircraft tail number being placed on the tag itself. Rather, the AFTO
210, 211, or 212 (modification document) could show from what airframe
the equipment was removed. That said, what was generally written in was
a code designating the organization having custody of the equipment.
