Well, I think that has to do with museum quality units. There should be plenty of them around. 
According to Gordon White's documentation, there was one of those receivers for every 5 
airplanes in the entire air service.

Well you could DO that, but the IF cans are the problem, as far as I am concerned. It would 
be fairly easy to convert a BC-453 to 160. I have an article in an old ham magazine to do just 
that.

That sounds like it would be a better idea, although you would have to have two parts instead 
of one.
