[ARC5] My R-25/ARC-5 and ARA CBY-46104

Hi,

My goal is to actually use the radios on the air. My interest in the
R-25 is coverage of the 160 meter ham band. I saw an article somewhere
suggesting they are rare and expensive when they are available. The
author may have been talking about museum quality that I don't really
need. That same article suggested then that we should convert a
different, more plentiful model to cover 160. I guess I am just going to
have to do that by building converter for 160 ahead one of the R-23 or
BC-453 receivers (Q5er style) I have here. Much more practical than
building a different radio inside a radio that already works. When I get
that perfected I'll probably see a useable R-25 in the 'low hanging
fruit' position. Murhpy ya know.
