IMO, a bad idea if you are going to run it more than 5-10 minutes,
allowing a couple of hours between runs. This is a guess.
I'd find or make a plywood or plastic box, lined with sound absorbing
material like fiberglass covered with porous fabric. and upend the box
over the inverter when you run it.
