Unlikely, IMO.
The output circuit is normally a series-resonant RLC-
R = Radiation Resistance
L = Rollaductor inductance
C = Antenna capacitance (electrically short antenna)
That means that the L-C node is nowhere near 50 Ohms and is much higher
impedance (resonant stepup). This means that it is a high voltage point.
The installation of a SO-259 shows whoever did it, simply did not
understand the circuit.
