[ARC5] Meter. Feet, Pounde etc.,,

Many here mentioned units and systems in their engineering courses. I'm 
curious to hear if my text books from my time (1960's) at preengineering at 
Hunter/CCNY, Bklyn. Poly and EE at Copen. Engineering 'Teknikum' are roughly 
the same.
My main tomes were:
Thomas, Kreizig,  Stroud, Sears & Zemansky, Kip, Fowler & Meyer and The 
Feynman Lectures. Thomas was used both in NY and Copen. I still have all my 
textbooks and I definitlely intend to see if I can understand them in the 
near future ;0)
