[ARC5] Collins ARC-2 Going Cheap

I believe that there is no evidence for the accuracy of that
statement.

One website lists the following USN aircraft in which the
AN/ARC-2 was at least sometimes installed (FWIW):

H-25, UH-34D, CH-37C, P-2, P-5, S-2, AF-2W, F6F-5, HO3S-1,
HO4S-2, HO5S-1, HRS-1, PBM-5S, PBY-6A, R6D-1, SB2C-5, TBM-3S,
ZPK

I can vouch personally for the AN/ARC-2 being on TS-2A Tracker
aircraft, a legacy from earlier active service as anti-submarine
carrier-based aircraft.  Both TS-2A aircraft that I flew on in
1971 and 1972 still had the AN/ARC-2 on board.
