It would indeed be odd if it used 807s.  But it doesn't.  It uses
1625s, two as PA tubes, two as modulators, right next to the
dynamotor.

I got my first RT-91/ARC-2 from Fair Radio 35 years ago.  Since
then, I've also acquired two RT-298/ARC-2A units.  IMHO, the
RT-91 is the better of the two in terms of construction quality.
The RT-298 seems like a cut-rate version in comparison.

The rack and the control box can be the devil to find...about
as hard as finding those same items for the AN/ARR-15.
