This is part of what I want to touch on to some degree, especially in
the events leading up to and immediately following the 1934 corporate
shake up. With that, was the fact that the AAC proved how ill
equipped it was for all weather flying part of it?
I found a second reference to the battle problem failure that lead to
the Navy's distrust of crystal contol which will give a beginning and
middle to the end you provided as the beginning of one of your
articles. This is background that, to me, is important in telling
*why* some things were done as they were done.
While A.R.C.'s history is the main thread, there are many cross and
parallel threads that are part of their story. But there is a point
at which enough becomes too much and I'm detail oriented which results
in crossing that line way too often.
After I'm in my new digs I'll be organizing some of my notes and
combining them with the vast array of questions I already have to find
more things I want to know and to match answers to questions already
asked. That should be entertaining for a while.
BEst regards,
Michael, WH7HG
