Actually the village revolution began with the advent of electricity in the late 1800's. The electronic revolution is just an adjunct to the electric revolution.
The are still millions of indiginous "third world" people around the world still living in the "Stone Age". It's ironic that they'll survive and the "Developed World" might perish...
