Most people have no idea how our very lives have come
to depend on "the electronic village," a thing as gossamer
as a spiderweb, with thousands upon thousands of failure modes.
One of these days, Abdul is going to burn that village down,
and cast us into the Stone Age, where "modern" man cannot
readily survive. About time we thinned out the herd, I guess.
