There was a short write up about this BC-453 conversion
in a 1959 issue of Western Radio Amplifier. A couple of
during and after photographs. The gist of the write up
(by Ed Marriner W6BLZ) is that it was a difficult project
that shouldn't be attempted by just anybody, which was one
of the reasons it wasn't published as an article.
Western Radio Amateur was a nice little magazine that
came out in the late 50s, with plenty of surplus ads.
