For some reason a larger percentage of the early sets survive than I'd 
expect. Maybe since they were early they were replaced by the more 
common ARA, SCR-274-N, AN/ARC-5 sets before they were "used up." Also, 
these RAT and RAT-1 receivers I have seen all look pretty nice, as 
though they were not actually installed, whereas the RAV sets that I 
think went into blimps, are VERY  VERY rare. I have only seen one RAV 
receiver in all my searching and research that did not come out of 
Boonton in its last years. That one was in terrible shape - hardly 
anything but the chassis and nameplate.
