No, the radials are a normal 1/4wave in length..only the vertical radiator
is changed...note the FCC requires broadcast stations to use 120
radials...each 1/4wave in length...for ham use, elevate the base of the
vertical by 10ft or so off the ground and all you need is 4 radials tops for
normal performance.
